SUSTAINABILITY and SOCIAL IMPACT
SUSTAINABILITY and SOCIAL IMPACT
Since the beginning YokoVillage has pledged to give back to the community by donating 3% of its earnings to local charities. From free wellness workshops to beach and river cleanups, the intention is not only to give back, but also to pay it forward. Working with organizations like Provide & Conquer to help support local women on their road to financial independence, or offering food delivery service during times of Covid. Organizing clothing drives and donating to local schools. Yoko even donated equipment, resources, and time to repair public roads and build bridges.
Within YokoVillage, the environment, preserving as much jungle as possible, honoring the landscape’s natural waterways, and seamlessly integrating with nature is at the forefront of everything. There is a state of the art water treatment plan for Yoko to help preserve water, and reuse gray water. Ongoing efforts of ecological restoration and natural regeneration are in place. Even land deforested by previous owners will be regenerated.
We want to do good things, and yes, it is a grand vision.
By investing in YokoVillage, you can directly and indirectly support the local community right here, where you will be enjoying your new home – in and around Santa Teresa. YokoVillage continuously pursues more environmentally conscious ways of living, in an effort to create a better harmony with nature, and foster a higher quality of life.
