Natural regeneration consists of integrating trees and crops to conserve and protect the vegetation cover, preventing erosion, and providing moisture in the cultivated areas. It is an alternative for those dry hillside areas and a way to rescue trees lost by fire or cutting.
In addition to helping to supply drinking water, prevent desertification and provide resilience to floods and drought, soil mitigates climate change through carbon sequestration and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
